PROTOTYPE & MODELING
I have extensive background in working with tools and building/engineering. I gained my skills through the number of STEM classes taken in high school (including robotics, mechatronics, and engineering design) as well as early industrial design classes in college. Below I've highlighted projects that required prototyping.
Exploration of tessellation shapes and construction using only paper and glue. Make at least 15 of the shapes and show how they are able to tessellate.
Using only styrene and styrene cement create a sound amplifier that uses any type of phone as its source. Explore different forms of amplification and how it can be incorporated into your design.
Using Rhino software, design a 3D model of a layered lamp. Then, laser cut each layer into styrene and assemble together. Add an LED light source at the base of the lamp.
